The Best Beauty Products of 2020
2020 has undoubtedly been the hardest and most challenging year most of us have ever had to live through. In spite of the hardships this year brought our way there are some incredible beauty products that I discovered which I will definitely be bringing to 2021 with me. I am so excited to share the Best Beauty Products of 2020 with you.
These products are easy to use, work like a charm and I will undoubtedly buy them again.
I am lucky enough to receive many beauty products to test out. For something to stand out it really has to be extra special. These products are EXTRA special and are probably the things that helped me get through this rough year. In no particular order here are the Best Beauty Products I discovered in 2020
1- Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara
For me to fall in love with a mascara it has to check a lot of boxes.
It has to give me volume, I prefer a creamy formula that coats my lashes, no clumping, no flaking, and I am picky about the wand. I find the wand on this mascara to be the best I have ever used. It separates my lashes while allowing the mascara to disperse perfectly and gives me the most incredible volume and length I have ever experienced.
All in all this mascara checks all the boxes and I am head over heels in love with it.
2- Rimmel London Wonder Ink Liquid Liner
As a professional makeup artist a sharp, solid black wing is a must for me. This liner far surpasses all the high end liners available on the market and is a fraction of the cost. This drug mart liner is better than any other liner on the market. This is a huge statement to make but, I am sticking to it. I highly recommend trying it. It’s the only liner I will ever use from here on out.
3 – Dermalogica Primer Age Smart Skin Perfect Primer 30
In my opinion everyone needs this product. This is the best primer/ pore filler/ spf/ foundation base out there. When I first got this primer I was curious to try it because it’s a primer and SPF in one. Let me tell you it is so much more ! This product has the slightest tint to to which evens out your skin tone perfectly. It is also infused with crushed mother of pearl which provides the most beautiful glow to the complexion. On most days I wear this product by itself because it gives my skin the most beautiful fresh finish imaginable.
I could go on for days about how much I adore this product but I will let you try it for yourself 😉 I feel that everyone can benefit from this product and I promise you will love it.
4- Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Oil Cleanser
This cleanser has made it onto my favourites list for 3 years in a row. I simply adore everything about this nourishing oil cleanser. It removes my makeup while gently cleaning my skin. My skin never feels dry or uncomfortable after using it. I mainly use it at night and it’s been a staple in my routine for years.

5- Burt’s Bees Rose Micellar Water
As much as I love my Juice Beauty cleansing oil, there are days where I need to remove stubborn mascara and heavier makeup with a micellar water. The Burt’s Bees Rose Micellar Water is a 3 in one: it removes makeup, tones and cleanses. I LOVE this product. I have very dry skin and I can’t use most removers because they strip the natural oils from my face and leave my skin feeling very irritated. This Burt’s Bees formula has been a game changer. It’s so gentle and removes every last drop of makeup easily and effortlessly. It also smells beautiful and refreshing.
6- Shiseido Synchro Skin setting powder
As we get older and our skin matures and finding a good setting powder that doesn’t’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles is near impossible. Well I am here to tell you that Shiseido has formulated a setting powder that will set your makeup perfectly without enhancing the look of fine lines or wrinkles. I call it a magic product because I have no idea how it does what it does. My makeup looks flawless and beautiful when using this powder with no fine lines in sight.
7- Laneige Lip Sleep Mask
Dry lips will be a thing of the past when you use the Laneige Lip Sleep Mask. It offers intense hydration for your lips. Pop it on at night before bed and your lips will feel supple and soft all day. This is especially amazing now that we are all wearing masks as reapplying balm throughout the day can be uncomfortable.
8- Cerave Moisturizing Cream
Leave your dry skin in 2020 and get yourself some Cerave Moisturizing Cream ! Infused with ceramides and hyaluronic acid this cream hydrates and repairs dry irritable skin. It has become a staple in my household and it is suitable for my daughters extremely sensitive skin too. This Moisturizer is fragrance free and developed by Dermatologists. Not only is this moisturizer outstanding for the skin but it’s affordable making it easy on the wallet too 😉
9 – Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Illuminating Eye Treatment
This product is the best product for days when you don’t feel like wearing anything heavy on your skin but want to brighten and correct. This product is essentially a tinted under eye cream but I use it on other parts of my face that need a little coverage. It’s an incredible product which I found by accident when browsing the aisles of Sephora. I am over the moon that I discovered it, it has been my go to product this year. It’s hydrating, lightweight, delivers the perfect amount of coverage.
Note: the texture is weird and you really have to blend it in for a while to get it to sink into the skin. At first you will think you hate it and that it’s not blending but then something happens and it turns into magic.
10 – Bare Minerals Coconut Pureness Soothing Light Moisturizer
I love moisturizer, I need moisturizer, I can not leave the house with out it. But some of them make me feel greasy and overwhelm my skin. It’s especially tough to find a moisturizer that sits well under my makeup without it starting to slide around making my skin looking greasy.
This moisturizer is OUTSTANDING !! I can not believe how perfect it is. It sinks into the skin hydrates, nourishes, leaves it feeling smooth and supple. But, it is not greasy at all ! It’s the best textured moisturizer I have used in years.
It is also paraben free, sulphate free, mineral free and cruelty free. You’re getting 100% clean, 100% vegan skincare that’s packed full of nourishing ingredients.
11 – Bite Beauty Changemaker supercharged Micellar Foundation
Definitely a mouthful to say but once you use this foundation you will be saying it backwards you will fall so head over heels.
I have a hard time finding a foundation that offers medium -full coverage without leaving me looking cakey and wrinkly. This foundation blends flawlessly onto the skin, it’s hydrating and comfortable to wear and doesn’t crease or skink into fine lines. It is hands down my favourite foundation and the only one I have reached for all year.
There are 32 shades to pick from which is another reason to fall in love with this product.
