Anthropologie Toronto – Moms night out

One of the things I love most about my job is that I get to meet so many inspiring women. The collaborations I worked on last year were fantastic and getting to help women with their makeup routines and teach them a few helpful tips is the best feeling in the world for me. The last event for 2017 held at Anthropologie on Queen Street East was one of my favourites.

When Freda and Christine the creators of Modern Mama Social @mamamodernsocial contacted me about their Holiday shopping social, I was pumped! What a great event to be a part of right before the holidays and what was even better was that their event was in collaboration with one of my favourite stores, Anthropologie.

Let me tell you a few reasons why I was very excited about this event:

  • ANTHROPOLOGIE!!! I adore Anthro and have been a very loyal client for many years. I am a fan of both their clothing and homeware so when I found out that they had a makeup line I was alllll over it.
  • I was asked to give mini make overs / tutorials to fellow mamas using the Anthro makeup line. Ummm… yes please! I got to combine my love for all things makeup, with my love for helping other social mamas.
  • The ladies who run the Modern Mama Social are outstanding fellow mom bosses and I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with them!

Freda and Christine are not just the masterminds behind MMS but they are also business owners who have great lines available for you and your baby. Freda is the owner of Bridge the Bump who specialize in coat extensions to get you through any season. Christine is the owner of Olilibaby, where you can find clips to meet any of your baby accessory needs. Both companies are proudly Canadian and have great products that will help you from pregnancy to baby minding. I highly recommend you check them out if you haven’t already.

What exactly is a Modern Mama Social:

Happy clients
Happy Mamas

It is an event intended to bring a community of like-minded women together to connect and inspire each other. It is a place where moms could take a break from family responsibilities and re-focus on themselves. In their own words “Because being a mom doesn’t mean you stop being you. Always make time to love yourself.”

Preach it ladies!

The Modern Mama Social at Anthropologie turned out to be an overwhelming success. Tickets were sold out, the night was full of shopping, chatting, nibbling and overall merriment.

It was really great connecting with mamas throughout the evening and seeing the joy on all of their faces. My makeup tutorials were a hit and I am so happy I was able to provide so many amazing women with useful information.

The MMS is an outstanding concept! Nothing like a bit of self-care for us busy mamas. We need it. Thanks again to Christine and Freda for having me be a part of this amazing event.

The Modern Mamas will be hosting their next event The Spring Social at the Baka Gallery Café on April 21st. Although I will not be a part of this one, I highly recommend you go and check out a MMS event for yourself.
