My 5 minute makeup routine

I hope everyone is having an amazing Monday ? I posted my 5 minute makeup routine on my business website a few weeks ago and thought it would be perfect to share here too. Hope you enjoy my speedy daily makeup routine and enjoy the YouTube tutorial at the end.

Everyone is always in a rush these days. We want instant results. Instant messages, Instagram, instant makeup. While there’s no way to spray on a full face of makeup just yet, I can get you looking great in just five minutes. This five-minute makeup look is perfect for daytime: work, an important meeting, a Skype call with a client or lunch with friends.

Prior to applying makeup, I always moisturize my face with Rodial Dragon’s Blood XXL Sculpting Serum. The name may be a bit scary (no dragons were harmed in the making of this product), but the results are anything but. This product plumps and firms the skin, getting rid of any sign of fine lines. The texture is incredible. It’s light and not greasy, making it the ideal product for under makeup. I really don’t think I’ll ever find a serum I love as much as this one. Definitely suitable for all skin types.

1. Prime
I know this seems like an extra unnecessary step, but primers are actually perfect when you’re in a hurry. They speed up the application process, smoothing the texture of the skin and making the next products go on easily and evenly. I like the Lancome La Base Pro Pore Eraser. It’s light in texture and keeps my skin looking matte all day.

2. Perfect
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream gives me the perfect amount of coverage and it’s also an SPF 30.

3. Conceal
I conceal under eye circles with  Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard. This is my all-time favourite concealer. It’s available in a variety of shades and is excellent for concealing blemishes too.

4. Set
Set your makeup with a powder to make sure it stays put all day.

5. Shade
Swipe a quick bit of colour over your lid to create dimension. I use Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow when I am in a hurry. This product is a lifesaver! It looks so gorgeous on and always has people thinking I spent hours on my eye makeup.

6. Line
Use a cool-toned brown eye shadow to create depth along your lash line. Use this same brown shadow to fill in your brows.

7. Define
I have been obsessed with the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Ultra Natural Mascara. It recently won the Glamour magazine award for best mascara in the organic category. I love that it’s coal-free and so gentle on my very sensitive eyes. It lengthens and gives volume while being good for me.

8. Blush
For quick makeup looks I always opt for a cream product. They are so easy to blend and a cream blush doubles up as a lip tint. I can’t get enough of the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Last Looks Cream Blush. Peony and Seashell are my favourites.
