My Botox Experience- 5 reasons why I love it

I am so happy to share my Botox experience with you! I got Botox yes, the secret is out I got some Botox and I quite honestly couldn’t be happier with the results. This was not a decision I made on a whim. I did a lot of research before going for it and spent around 8 months making sure I was confident with my decision.

In July 2018 I experienced an Ectopic Pregnancy

which resulted in me losing the pregnancy and my right fallopian tube. I was feeling and looking run down and haggard. A few of my friends had tried Botox and I started to think it was something I wanted to explore.

I am happy to say that I am over the moon with the results and have now had Botox done twice. The results far exceed expectations and I love the way it looks.

5 reasons why I am happy with my decision to give Botox a whirl.

1 – I look refreshed and perpetually happy. Prior to Botox I had a perma frown which really bothered me. Since Botox I am not frowning anymore, I look so fresh and happy.

2- I need less makeup. Since my Botox I am finding that my overall complexion looks more youthful, even and radiant that I rarely wear foundation. Dare I say I like my skin better now than when I was in my 20’s 😀

3- My makeup looks so flawless when applied: when I do where foundation the results are pretty amazing! Even, no creasing an all-over wonderful effect.

4- I feel like I look well rested and my hubby loves my new “relaxed” demeanour. He would never have gone for me trying Botox, but I couldn’t keep it a secret for him. He is the kind of guy who rarely notices anything, but he really noticed the subtle difference from the Botox and can’t believe how natural and fresh the results are.

5- it’s a non-invasive way to give you the pick me up I need. By non-invasive I mean no surgery necessary. It’s a quick in out procedure – my whole appointment took 20 minutes and I was at work an hour later. The needle itself is so tiny it’s totally painless. I am the world’s biggest chicken and was so nervous going in to my first Botox session but there is literally no pain involved. It’s comparable to a mosquito bite.

A few extra notes on my Botox.

Who did I go to?

My Botox doctor is Dr. Farzana Haq. She is a general practitioner and mama of 2. I loved that she understood my needs. I just want to look natural and refreshed which is totally her style. A less is more approach which I LOVE. I also really like that she is a doctor, this just makes me feel comfortable and that I am in the best of hands.

Farzana and her business partner Sabrina run a mobile Botox company called refresh Botox.

How much does it cost?

I am not sure about other Botox places, but I pay $10 a unit and need 30 units of Botox = $300. This doesn’t mean 30 pricks it’s just the measurement used based on how deep the lines are.

How long does it last?

I have had it done twice – at 5-month intervals. I think I could stretch it to once every 6 months.

Would I do it again??

YES 100% I already have my next session scheduled. I love the results and I am at point in my life where I am ok with doing Botox if it makes me feel happy.

I understand that Botox is not for everyone and that is totally cool. I am happy with the results and hopefully you support my decision 🙂

Feel free to ask me any questions.
