With the chillier weather approaching and daylight savings upon us, it’s imperative that we take care of our wellbeing. This will help us tackle the colder months with a positive mindset. In this post I break down my favourite self care tips of the season. I hope these winter wellness tips provide you with some relief during the winter months.

1 – Light Scented Candles

Candles can have a huge impact on our mood. Filling our home with a scent that we love can evoke a positive state of mind. Our sense of smell is closely linked to memory, when we fill our home with a fragrance that we associate with a positive memory we instantly uplift our mood. 

2 – Seasonal bath and shower products

Start your day off by invigorating your senses. The fall and winter seasons are all about warm vanilla, cinnamon and spice and invigorating scent options. Bringing the scents of the season into our body care routines is the ideal way to pamper ourselves while nourishing our skin.

3 – Enjoy a herbal tea

Take 10 minutes to yourself while enjoying a calming tea or warm apple cider. This is an excellent way to unwind and relax while enjoying a taste of fall or winter. Herbal teas are also a great way to get our recommended 8 glasses of water in. 

4 – Implement vitamins D and B12

A vitamin routine can make the world of difference to your mood. Bit D and B12 supplements are known to boost mood and aid in a healthy immune system. 

5 – Indulge yourself with a nourishing face mask

There’s nothing better than enjoying a facial mask. It’s great for your for your skin and of course taking that 10 minutes for yourself is priceless. 10 minutes may not seem like a long time but, when you have been working all day, cooking, cleaning and taking care of everyone else it will feel like a week at an all inclusive resort.
